I’m a professional writer, editor and writing blogger living in London. You’ll have seen my books on the bestseller lists but not under my name because I ghostwrote them for other people (see Who else am I?).
I have edited for a leading literary consultancy in London and am now a freelance book doctor. Details of clients are confidential, but I am allowed to reveal that a manuscript I doctored was awarded the Roald Dahl Funny Prize 2012.
I’m now coming into the daylight with books of my own. I write quirky literary fiction and have two agents – Piers Blofeld at Sheil Land and Jane Conway-Gordon.
I’m also the author of writing books – Nail Your Novel: Why Writers Abandon Books and how you can Draft, Fix and Finish With Confidence and Nail Your Novel: Bring Characters to Life, written from my experiences mentoring other authors.

PRAISE FOR My Memories of a Future Life:
‘Ambitious and enthralling’ - Critical Mass
‘Reminded me of Doris Lessing–though at the risk of committing a sacrilege, Morris is much more readable’ - The Kindle Book Review
‘So original it’s in a class of its own’ - For Books’ Sake
‘There are shedloads of books on how to write novels, and a lot of them are longer and considerably less useful’
‘I wish I’d had this book a long time ago’
‘The author has a proven track record as a writer of fiction, as opposed to writers of “how to write” books’
